I have just finished the last of my three short thrillers set along the lovely and wild Outer Banks of North Carolina. The first novel was called An Ocracoke Affair, and it was so well received that I wrote another, Nags Head Affair. Now I'm bringing the series to a close with a 15,000 word novella entitled An Outer Banks Vacation. This latest tale is about a young and ambitious lawyer who, after apparently coming out on top in the rat race to partnership, takes a quick vacation to the Outer Banks. There, he soon encounters his long time rival, the beautiful and impetuous Loretta Allmann, who has decided that the best way to handle the competition is to kill it off. Can our hero's cute little pooch, Muffy, help him survive Loretta's murderous onslaught?
